AN ARMENIAN PALETTE
This selection of Armenian piano music reflects the national characteristics, influences and technical developments of its composers over a 70-year period. The Album is released by NAXOS Grand Piano and includes the complete piano works by Lazar Sarian and Eduard Mirzoyan ('The Armenian Mighty Handful'), the only piano work by Harutiun Dellalian Dedication to Komitas, Epitaph by Geghuni Chitchian, Six Preludes by Gayane Chebotarian, Three Pieces by Tigran Mansurian. The Album includes world premiere recordings and was released in November 2020.

ALEXANDER ARUTIUNIAN: COMPLETE PIANO WORKS
NAXOS' GRAND PIANO label presents the Complete Works for Piano Solo of Alexander Arutiunian, one of the most prominent composers in the USSR, one of the representatives of the Armenian ‘Mighty Handful’ and much admired by Shostakovich. An accomplished pianist, Arutiunian created virtuoso piano works that are rooted in Armenian folk traditions while expressing, in the words of Hayk Melikyan, “a rich palette of emotions reflecting both his time and the history of his nation”.
The Album includes world premiere recordings and was released in January 2017.

The Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia presents a special edition of a CD Echoes of Altar. The current edition is dedicated to the Centenary of the Victims of Armenian Genocide. The CD includes: Dances and Seven Piano Songs by Komitas, Garun a (Spring) by Komitas/Robert Andreasian, Sonata Dedication to Arshile Gorky for piano and percussion by Edward Sadoyan, Waiting for the Dawn by Tatev Amiryan and Echoes of Altar for piano four hands by Hayk Melikyan (recorded with Karine Gilanyan).
